STATE ARCHIVES IN ZADAR

About This Project

Project of reconstruction and modernization of the State archives reading room in Zadar. The room is on the top floor of the historical building which currently holds the oldest Croatian state archive (1624). The reading room is formed by a single room of 6,55 x 15,20 m or approximately 100 m2. The modernization of the space has been carried out according to the precise indications given by the client and with his active participation in all project phases. Mainly the project consists of1: replacing the old carpet with the new massive parquet of Slavonian oak; renovation of entire electrical and lightning system; choice and design of the new furniture; replacement of the doors; complete repainting of the room. The room has been designed to simultaneously receive up to about 30 users. Everything has been thought, designed and done with great attention to details, colors, quality, durability, ease of use and functionality. The space has also been thought to be able to easily adapt to a small conference room.
